He owned the Star-Telegram, WBAP-AM and Channel 5 - yet he used his power for the good of Texas, but to the detriment of what he called Little D (Dallas).

The Green Room Players is Stand Performing Arts’ premier musical theatre performance group, offering year-round training and performance opportunities. Members develop their skills through classes, productions, and travel experiences, representing Stand at local and national events. Our team is grades 7th-12th.

STAND Stage Presents: Newsies! This musical is our Summer Teen Intensive show. The Newsboys’ Strike of 1899 comes alive in this high-energy tale of young workers fighting for their rights. With themes of justice, solidarity, and youthful rebellion, Newsies inspires us to stand up for what’s right.

Inside Scoop (A STAND Original Musical)
Inside Scoop is a STAND Original pop musical exploring the inner workings of a teenage boy named Luke. As he faces the challenges of life, we see the dynamics of his soul (the melodramatic Soulina), body (the tough Brody), and spirit (the intelligent Sam) trying to work together for Luke’s sake. During the journey, we meet characters like the spunky Abundant Life Cheerleaders, whose goal is to help Luke think positively, as well as the SKDs, a gang whose goal is to Steal, Kill, and Destroy Luke’s purpose. Will the constant struggle between the ALC and SKDs cause Soulina, Brody, and Sam to work together, or drive them apart?

Acting For Camera (Saturdays for 6 Weeks)
Join Angel Somarriba for our Acting for Camera session from March 29th-May 3rd.
Students will work on monologues for the screen. They will dive deep into the psyche of their character and record their chosen monologue, gaining a basic understanding of self-tapes and acting for the screen.
